I was talking some people today about the Deleted post and I got confirmation that people have done it, and that the Kuwait Police
have used this method to get evidence that has been deleted from people’s phones.

Deleted?

You ever notice those used phones available in Kuwait. You can find all types even new one that are ju
st a week old in the used stores. Those stores are usually are pretty good on reseting them and deleti
ng the files to sell a clean phone.

Well seems that they can’t get rid of everything.

It seems pictures on those new camera phones can be undeleted. I was just thinking of all those blueto
oth talk lately, I am sure you can find some risque pictures on them that were expected to be deleted.

Bjork - Medulla

Uncategorized — nibaq on August 20, 2004 at 22:56:21

There is no real way to categorize Bjork. Bjork sounds like Bjork, and this album is a Bjork album, bu
t it feels like she has gotten older. Her past albums seem like she was trying to experiment and chall
enge herself in terms of what can she do with the music and ways to convey her emotions. Medulla sound
s more centered that she had a set goal when she started and more confident of herself and abilities.

What you notice first is the vocals, lots and lots of vocals. It is as if she is going back to the roo
ts of music by keeping it very pure. They are no instruments, it is all done vocally, even the beats a
nd rhythm are done by a human beat box. It is pretty impressive getting all those vocals and then havi
ng it all mixed and produced.

This album is a background album, for you to lay back at home and just have it blaring as you do other
things, or just lay back and think about your life. It is not made for driving or entertaining friend
s. This album can go both ways. Sometimes I hate it, and other times I really enjoy it, but most of th
e time I am confused about it.

Regurgitator!

I am so excited! Regurgitator one of my all time favorite ba
nds is making a 5th album, but they plan to do it inside a plastic bubble. These guys are amazing I pi
cked up their CD when I was in Australia a while back and so glad I did. I’ve gotten some fond memorie
s of songs like “I want to be a Nudist”, “Polyester Girl”, and “I like Repetitive Music” and their uno
fficial Sydney 2000 Olympic anthem “Crush the Losers”.

I will definitely be checking out their live webcast from August 31 to September 21 to see what they a
re creating.

Shrek 2

Uncategorized — nibaq on August 20, 2004 at 6:10:05

Just watched Shrek 2 earlier tonight, what a great
movie. It was another Disney basher from Dreamworks, with a great story with some impressive character
s and computer graphics.

The story for this one is after Fiona and Shrek get married and it is time to visit the in-laws. This
is where we learn more about Fiona’s back story; like how she ended up in the Castle with the dragon a
nd the lies and behind it.

The international cast of John Cleese, Antonia Banderas,
Julie Andrews
and Jennifer Saunders really added
a flare to this movie. Especially Banderas’ Puss In Boot and Saunders’ Fairy Godmother.

Saunders’ also sang some great song on the movie that can be avaible on the soundtrack, w
hich I plan to pick up. It is really superb with the Counting Crows, The Eels , Nick Cave and the Bad
Seeds and many more.

I highly recommend the movie for a night at home with some friends and the soundtrack during the day w
ith them.

1+1= ?

People can be so techno dependent at times. I was at the store buying some stuff then the salesman sta
rted using a calculator to add up the quantity that he wrote down ( 1 1 2 1 2 1 1 1) . By the time he
added up to 4, I already told him it was 10. He just looked at me sheepishly and told me it would be
10KD.

Are we that dependent on calculators and computers that we can’t do basic tasks without them? I fear f
or our future because if this keeps up; the robots are taking over.

A great drive

I had lunch in the city today at this “Kuwaiti” place around the corner from Casper and Gambini. Dont
remeber the name, actually never even paid attention to the name. The food was good but the service wa
s ok. So you ever want some Kuwaiti food and dont feel like cooking I suggest going there I think they
do delievery or to go.

Linked Address Book

Uncategorized — nibaq on August 17, 2004 at 14:04:46

I love my address book, I try to keep everyones address and phone number and any additional details in it. Its a great directory for when I travel or someone needs a number. I even have groups on my phone concerning family, friends, business, information etc so I can find them quickly and easily.

Yet I have one issue its all very linear. I would like an address book where I can link contacts together. Such a link stating that Jack is the Brother of Jill. Then I can expand on that By grouping Jack and Jill under their family name of Jones. Then I can connect Jill to her boyfriend John. etc.

ASDF Arabic

Uncategorized — nibaq on August 17, 2004 at 4:13:44

I hate the Arabic keyboard, its horrible keys are placed weirdly just look where the ذ is. Why i
s all the way it is near the 1? Then you have all these akward finger movements. The person who design
ed the keyboard should be tied to a chair and keyboard be and forced to use their own creation.

Luckily there is a salvation!
