With all the mass opening of Sushi Bars in Kuwait I always wondered how close they are to the real Jap
anese system. Ussually we just go in order eat, then leave. We never have time to actually sit and enj
oy the real experience.

So finding this:Sushi Eating HOWTO. I got some great knowledge on the meal order and what the hell is
wasabi.

I am sure if your a casual or expert sushi eater you will learn something from it.

Just want to share some artists that really caught me eye.

One is Madoka Kinoshita“:
I am love her colors and just the facial expressions and the way she does their hair. It is very pure
and simple and just conveys emotion.

The other one is Yumik
o:
What I like about these ones is that its feels like a remix of old Japanese art from 1600s with 2000 s
tyle. Also like Kinoshita the very vibrant and powerful colors. Yet unlike Kinoshita simpleness, Yumik
o feels complicated. So you keep looking into it and questioning “what it means”

Sometimes you got to love parody. Especailly when they clash to different things like your standard Popeye charachter in an anime c
artoon.

If your a fan of both you will get a good laugh out of it.

I found this picture on Flickr and just loved the design of it and
the color of bronze and pink. The company that makes it is Roug
e Design. They make some of the coolest bags I’ve ever seen just very colorful and with wonderful
designs and puts the Mukarami - Louis Vuitton stuff to shame.

Just got home drove to Saudi (Al-Hasa) and back today. That journey is becoming less and less stressful and much easier to drive. The roads still suck there but I managed.

It was a good drive in the morning, the clouds were scattered so there was these rays of light and dark spots on the ground. As well as the Arfaj seemed to be much bigger and greener. These things were literaly covering the landscape to the horizon, and people say nothing grows in the desert.

Just figured something about myself when I drive these long distances. Suprised I never noticed it before. Well it seems when I do them I dont eat. I will have a small meal and just gun it all the way. Not sure why I do it. I’ll drink water and always have a pepsi ready for when I feel tired, but thats ab
out it. Not sure why I do that.

One the way back I stopped at this “gift shop” just before the border at the gas station. They sell your standard bedouin style stuff. Large framed pictures of falcons, and “Bo Shanab” and cultural things (think velvet Elvis), as well some random little toys.

So well last time I was there I saw the “Bo Shanab” paintings and pictures and they caught my eye on how weird and strange they were. Yet didn’t have time to pick them up. So this time I did. I got me a painted one where the car is looking out to the wilderness, and a picture of ones profile with guns and
some caught animals hanging from it.

So home now, its good to be home, there is nothing sweeter than driving to Kuwait and seeing the lights. Its like “CIVILIZATION”. What is strange is when your not even near the border, but see these rows and rows of lights you think “must be Kuwait”. Your focus is get to the light.

It looked so clean & shimmering. Everyone was excitced & happy that it rained & cleaned up the city & air.
