The tiredess, been busy with the shows running around and visiting people then go back to hotel rest u
p and go back out invited to dinners then go out and walk around the city. My body got the aches and a
cks. Can’t wait to get back home and rest up during Eid, seems so far away now.

I got access to a computer finally with IR so I uploaded my pics that I took with my phone. You can se
e them on my Flickr Page. Some really nic
e flower pics and other random stuff from Amsterdam.

Tonight I am going to check out the Musuem Night, really want to visit 2 of them but it is a great tim
e to go see them cause I dont have time during the day and I hear its really good fun. There is an Inc
an exhibition at the Rijkesmusuem that I want to see and maybe visit the other ones in that area.

Tomorrow I got to be up early and at the train station and goto Germany. I already packed my bags last
night just to make it easier for me since I doubt I will have time tonight or tomorrow morning.

I tried getting GPRS but its just to pricey and not really worth it and they aren’t sure if I can get
full roaming with is. So scew it. Instead I got something really cool Flash for my Phone
this thing is really bright and I can use it as a flash light. Totally pimp.

Can’t wait for night to fall so I can start playing with it.

So anyway I am being antisocial to the people I am visiting.

AMS

In Amsterdam so busy with work and stuff haven’t had a chance to go out and explore the city much. I t
hink tomorrow I will have time to go out during the day and wander around and take pictures and stuff.

I been spending my time with work, and the companies I am visiting. They have been really fun and well
“horrible” (that is a personal thing for me). I think they are using me an excuse to have fun but the
y have been really good and just really making it fun for all of us.

I love Amsterdam for a simple reason you dont need a car here, you can easily manage with a bike, walk
ing and even taking the train/tram. I love that. I do enjoy owning a car and driving long distances, b
ut really what I enjoy more is just being able to walk and smell the roses every know and then. Sadly
in Kuwait you can’t do that when you driving 120+ and have your windows rolled up to keep th heat out.

I plan to govisit some musuems here tomorrow they are having some night special for everything seems l
ike it will be fun to do. Will find some people to join me, still waiting a phone call from someone so
I can meet them (hint hint).

The Hidden Disorder

Uncategorized — nibaq on November 2, 2004 at 21:40:34

I suffer from what is sometimes called the Hidden Disorder.

“a vague, unpleasant and sometimes debilitating emotion that is experienced in anticipation of some mi
sfortune. “

Or better known as anxiety. This something that is like a sickness or really an addiction. You know yo
u have a problem, and it is causing you problems yet you keep going back to it.

This is something I plan to deal with on my trip for the next 10 days. I will be reading Getting Things Done. This book
has a lot of things to get my mind right in terms of organizing my clutter and setting list and prior
ities and how to follow through on them. I feel it will be a good change for me and something I am goi
ng to focus on.

No iPod on this trip just books and paper, well and my phone. I plan to get a GPRS connection when I a
m there so I can send pics to my Flickr page and also
blog about stuff. So you will hopefully be updated.

I think this will be a good trip, feel something “good” about it like this will set things straight.

Spend it!

The 200kd give away is the best thing that the government can do for the Kuwait economy. Yes granted t
hat people can talk about how it can be spent else where, but this is just $.5 billion out of a f="http://www.ameinfo.com/news/Detailed/32099.html">$4.5+ billion surplus. I am sure they can use
the other 4billion for schools, hospitals and other things.

So how is this amazing? Well it all goes down to economics and the multiplier. When the government gives out 200,0
00,000 KD to the people of Kuwait tax free and with no strings attached, they are going to spend about
3/5th of it.

So 200m * .6 = 120m

That 120 million will then be in other peoples pockets and they will spend it.

120 * .6 = 72

This multipier will keep going and according and to my Excel sheet create 500million KD. that will be
spent and circulating in the economy.

By having the people spend the money, and companies and individuals earning it. This creates a postive
cycle and growth in the economy, leading to jobs, higher wages and a better standard of living.

Also since some of this money will also be leaving Kuwait it will benifit countries that export since
it will boost their economy and increase their wages, and reduce the burden of the high oil prices tha
t has been affecting them and encourage them to buy more oil thus helping Kuwait.

I believe within 6 months of the money being released we will see an increase in employment and overal
l wealth in Kuwait. But lets not forget there is that other 4billion that the government will spend an
d invest and that will also be part of this multiplier effect.

There are other factors to consider in all of this, but I am not Greenspan so I can’t predict it all but the basic numbers are there and poin
t to a positive growth for Kuwait.

Sadly I think this is Jabir’s swan song, and By doing this he is leaving on a high note with the Kuwai
ti people.
