Traffic in Kuwait has shown gone a new low in my book, order it just bad bad bad. The major problem I see is not the roads, rx or the construction, or the parking. It is that people dont have any respect to their fellow drivers and just showing complete disregard to common sense for road traffic. Here is a example un the Shuwaik/Pepsi Cola bridge. The cars that are on my lan are going left and in that process run are blocking access to the other cars from that intersection. They dont stop and wait like they are suppose to if the road is blocked, but keep going and creating more blockage, making that area one big stall. The cars leaving Shuwaik can’t move, since they are blocked.

It is a real shame and something needs to be done there.

  1. The question is how did we end up with no sense of logic like that? Where is the bottom of the problem? How come no one understands the concept of leaving intersections open? What is the use if you blocked the intersection when the cars in front of you is standing still? And do you want the worst, when I stop at the green when the intersection is blocked, people behind me go crazy and start gesturing and screaming their heads off, only to bypass me and end up one meter or less away from me, and they get stuck there until the light turns green again and I move with them.. they just don’t seem to understand the concept.. how come they don’t??

  2. well usually people cross the intersection when its green and while they are waiting it turns red.

you could say if they saw the intersection closed they should have waited but most of the time when the traffic light turns green and u have been stuck in traffic for ages, if its green u will try your best to cross the traffic light even if it means blocking the intersection just so it doesnt mean you have to wait till it turns green again.

i think the problem for the traffic in kuwait is the roads and not the people who cross a crowded intersection when its green.

  3. The road system in Kuwait make drivers the way they are. If you dont pass the traffic light when it is green .. you are going to have to wait another 15 minutes for it to turn green again.
