Kuwait has started using robot jockeys for their camel races.

    It’s still hard to imagine it in practice even with the picture though…

    I’ve been to camel races before and wondered where the kids came from and what kind of life they must have.

    I get the feeling though, that if the kids’ parents sold them to race on camels, they will also sell them to an even worse life. Child prostitution is just one thing that pops in mind.

    I just saw a movie that included child soldiers in Africa, a similary disgusting thing.

  3. Wish there was a review about how effective these robot jockeys are vs the kids. Not that I condone child labor, but it would be nice to have a definite affirmative that robots are better camel riders than people.
