Found this link that really had me chuckling and also questioning my memory when I was younger. It finds these strange similiarities of Mario Bros the game and communism.
Examples are:
- Mario placing a red flag when finishing a stage
- Mario wearing red
- Mario’s resemblance to Stalin
There are some other but those were the ones that caught my eye, ambulance but check it out Communist Mario?

Some evidence is amusing, though I have yet to draw the connection of the “expendability of humans / fellow creatures” to communism. Every ideology generally has to knock a few heads about (not simply communism) to achieve its goals…think of the French Revolution. Sure it was all about the “Rights of Man” (whereupon we ask…why was Olympe de Gouges’s “Rights of Woman ignored by a state that wished to perpetuate the notion of “popular sovereignty”?), but thanks to one of our favorite historical villains, Robespierre, we can say that this political movement was far from being peaceful…heads rolled. Literally.
