Who is the Adol Agent in Kuwait?

General, Kuwait — nibaq on August 19, 2006 at 12:39:04

Every time someone goes to the government medical locations in Kuwait they always prescribe Adol! You got in for a cough, they give you Adol; break a bone, they give you Adol; cancer, Adol. It is always Adol. My friend even told me today how his cousin leg was cut off a couple days ago and the nurse goes and gives him Adol.

So who is this Adol agent in Kuwait cause he must be making money hand over fist with the doctors in Kuwait giving it out like candy to any patient that walks in there.

Seymour Hersh has just broken a story stating that George Bush and his administration have planned the Israeli attack on Lebanon as a test run for the US attack on Iran.

Customer Service Rant

General, Kuwait — nibaq on August 13, 2006 at 18:35:03

A couple weeks ago I was at Virgin Marina and saw a great deal on a Panasonic 42″ LCD with a stand and the speakers + DVD player for 600KD. So after checking online and other prices in the market for competing products I decided to go pick it up. I go to Virgin a week later find out that promotion is over. No problem I’ll just head to the local agent and get it there.

So today I head over there and ask about the promotion. The sales person there was telling me in the ruddest manner that that promotion is over and it was Virgin since April. I go to Virgin a bunch of times since April and never noticed this promotion, yet what got to me was his tone as if I was an idiot for not noticing it or acting quick enough.

So I ask is there any other promotion or discount that is the same. He quickly said “no that was it and there is no other discounts or promotions”. This got to me more and was like “wtf”. Is this a sales person? I even loudly commented to my friend next to me “this guy is a salary employee he doesn’t want to sell”. I mean come on, be nice to me, make me want to buy an TV from you. Dont ust brush me off like that. Tell me that you got a newer version that is better, or that if I come back next week there will be a new promotion and offers. Just ignoring my request is not the way to generate a sale.

I dont think I will by buying a Panasonic TV now. After seeing how they treat a customer I am afraid to wonder how their customer service is post sale.

Phone Names in Iraq

General — nibaq on August 9, 2006 at 1:58:01

In the Middle East we like to give nick names to our phones and cars, like the old Mercedes in Egypt was called the Shabah (Stealth) for its angular design, or the Nokia 6600 in Saudi was called the Panda for its round shape and the black and white motif.

Well in Iraq they have names for their phones too:
Nokia 3660/ The Allawi: For is resemblance to the former Prime Minster.

Nokia N90/ Apache: Since it’s top swivels like a rotor blade.

There is one named Tank but I have no idea which phone it is.

George vs the US Senate

General — nibaq on August 8, 2006 at 21:57:49

Most of us have seen the George Galloway SKY News interview yet before that he was on theUS Senate being questioned on his involvement with Iraq and the Oil for Food Program

Some ofGeorge Galloway quotes from the 47 minute hearing:

“Now I know that standards have slipped in the last few years in Washington, but for a lawyer you are remarkably cavalier with any idea of justice. I am here today but last week you already found me guilty. You traduced my name around the world without ever having asked me a single question, without ever having contacted me, without ever written to me or telephoned me, without any attempt to contact me whatsoever. And you call that justice?

I have met Saddam Hussein exactly the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld met him. The difference is that Donald Rumsfeld met him to sell him guns and to give him maps the better to target those guns. I met him to try and bring about an end to sanctions, suffering and war, and on the second of the two occasions, I met him to try and persuade him to let Dr Hans Blix and the United Nations weapons inspectors back into the country - a rather better use of two meetings with Saddam Hussein than your own Secretary of State for Defense made of his.

and doesn’t stop for 47 minutes.

Have a MAGNIFICENT Day!

General — nibaq on August 8, 2006 at 9:24:48

A friend been having a rough time at work and wanted to give them some words of encouragement. Wanted to use the regular “have a great day”, but that doesn’t cut it anymore. So did a quick thesaurus look up and found the word magnificent.

So everyone:

Have a MAGNIFICENT Day!

If just sounds empowering, share it with everyone go tell them to have MAGNIFICENT Day!
