I’d like to see this in a Kuwaiti wedding..
Some of the coolest t-shirts I’ve seen a while. Just sucks they are in British prices.
Top Gear is back tonight. Finally a car show worth watching. 5th Gear was getting on my nerves.
Wow thats like every 80s child dream come true.
Something that was created in the bathroom doodle machine. Not sure how many people were involved in creating it but pretty cool.
Came back to Kuwait around 20:30 last night. Really quick drive on the way back from bridge to border took us 2 and a half hours then it was a 40 minute ride to Kuwait City. I am still reeling from the trip, my brain was just broken today. Going to work I missed 4 exits. The traffic and turns just got to me. I was so used to just driving straight on without any cars around for so long it took me a while to adjust to Kuwait traffic.
The The Gulf Run was a great success. There were some little problems, but everyone came thru to help each other and work it out.
With all the hoop-la on the iPhone I come to notice somethings that has me wondering and thats about the battery/power source of this thing.
First thing that comes to mind is the battery life for the iPhone.
Up to 5 hours Talk / Video / Browsing
Up to 16 hours Audio playback
So comparing that to a comparable phone like the Sony Ericsson P990i
UMTS 3 hours 300 hours
GSM 9 hours 340 hours
Thats a lot of hours unaccounted for. I’ve used my P990 for a full day talking, browsing, messaging etc and that sure is a lot longer than 5 hours.
Which got me thinking where is the battery pack?
The pictures I’ve seen of the phone show this nice metal shell around it with no latch or hook to release it. This leads me to believe that the battery isn’t replaceable. It is exactly like the iPod battery system, which is some gel thing they wrapped around the device to save space (which could explain how they can getit so thin).
Also means you can’t remove it, and if it fails after a year or two of use, you are pretty much screwed.
Also if it crashes how do you reboot it? All phones now we just remove the battery and shove it back in and tada we are back in working order.
Then I have one other question, how do you charge it? The pictures I’ve seen so far show the phone in people’s hands and not being charged. It doesn’t come with USB so that is out of the question.
Just passed by Virgin and they are selling the controllers for 45kd each. Together in the US retail will get you the Wii and those controllers.
