I enjoy looking at the night sky and looking at the stars. I can sometimes guess the Big Dipper now and then, here
and some times I notice some new ones like Venus a few weeks ago that was under the moon.

Most of the time I like to reffer to this program: Stellarium which is really wonderful. It is for all platforms and extremely powerful and easy to use. One great feature is time travel. Sometimes I notice something bright and wonder what it is. I just remember the time and general direction then go back to that momment in the program and see what it is.

This is great but you have to wait til you get back to your computer.

Now I found this site: Amateur Astronomy that can teach you the night sky in 15 minutes. It is really simple it shows you the basic constellation and stars in relation to it, more about
then you have to find it.  Its kinda like Wheres Waldo for the sky.

It has taught me to find:

  • 3 constellations
  • 2 stars, one is the north star.
  • 1 planet

The British auto industry looks to lose another one of their British brands. It seems that Aston Martin to Kuwaitis, symptoms
Lotus to Malaysians and now Jaguar.

Is there any British car company still owned by Brits? The only one I can think of is Noble.

  1. I work in Jaguar.Liverpool. Nothing can be as bad as the last 2 years. Heard that this Tata give 8 hours work day for its workers in some iorn plant in 1908. Lts just say that its our last brown hope..

  2. Wait are you complaining about the prospect of having an 8 hour work day? Haha welcome to the real world, in the US this is the norm.

  3. Tom, You missunderstood Fred’s comment. He said that as a positive thing (giving 8 hour work days in 1908 is quite progressive, not even the US had this till much later where 12 hours was the norm). I think the “brown hope” remark is uncalled for.
