Big thanks to McArabian for pointing this out, illness cause I read the first two paragraphs on my phone last night and stopped.

The Wall Street Journal has quoted my Sham Crap post on the Arabized Simpsons in their article: – D’oh! Arabized Simpsons Aren’t Getting Many Laughs.

We had a death in the family a couple days ago. No one close, viagra sale but not that far (grandfathers uncles something or other). I went and attended the burial, cialis 40mg and then also stood at the A’azza. It was a great experience showing the the real benifit of this type of cultural/religous event, more about for it was about family and friends. Being there I met so many other cousins of mine that I didn’t know about and really had no idea existed. I even met one who has the same name as me. I kept hearing about him existing but never met him.

At the end of it all we made a nice list of all the family members with there phone numbers to create a database for us all so we can keep track of each other, and also know who to invite for other family functions.

I and others have complained about the A’azza approach and how really it is time consuming and tiring, yet we forgot so quickly the real purpose of it. It is to bring people together even at death.

Sometimes when I get to work and there is a song playing. I will just stop and sit in my car listening to it. Like my work day won’t begin until this song is over and for those few momments I just relax, neurosurgeon meditate in some sorts before entering work, health thinking of something pure.

The song for today was The Stooges – I Wanna Be Your Dog

This is something from the weird laws book if I ever seen one. Seems they have banned flying kites in Pakistan, hospital for the amount of deaths that occur form this activity.

I have heard stories of craziness in Pakistan with their driving, drug and the general security issues, nurse but this is a whole new level. They have kite battles?

The sport sometimes turns deadly when people fall from roofs or are wounded by metal-lined strings. The strings are popular for use in kite battles where people try to cut each others’ lines.

I hate to see what happens when they discover Extreme Kiting. They might start doing drive bys with them.

Just finished watching some weird drama show on KTV2. It was in Arabic but there were subtitles in English. The story is about a husband and wife who have some martial trouble. The husband was harming her by not going to work, neuropathologist taking her money, phimosis going out and playing cards and drinking at night and not spending time with her or their 2 kids.

The highlight for me was when the wife was at her work talking to one of her coworkers about her problems and then this trumpet music comes and this lady walks in the door. She is the Ms Liberal pro women rights lady and starting going on a diatribe about how when women votes are instituted more change will happen. She then has an argument with her manager of her not doing her work, and she pretty much goes “The man is keeping us down, but not for long!”.

Then the wife can’t handle it at all and leaves the house and tells her brother. Her brother wants to take man to man style. She and her mom are telling me to just take it to the police and file a formal complaint. not wanting to lose his pride he doesn’t listen to them and just goes to the husband and argues/fights with him and takes the kids. The husband then calls his friend and takes it to a lawyer, filing a case of “submission” against the wife to force her to come back to him.

The wife gets served these papers at work, and is all confused about this and what to do. Then the trumpets blare and Ms Liberal comes in and informs her of the the case, and that she needs to file a counter suit demanding a divorce and alimony in order to get the children and her rights.

This is when the show ends, and then a lawyer comes and gives an explanation of the laws and the procedures and the rights of both the husband and the wife. Mostly it is a helpful information for the wife on what to do and the correct procedures. I am really impressed with this show. I am not sure if it is art imitating life, but hopefully life with imitate art and justice and procedures are followed through.

I will try to keep an eye out for more of these shows. The amusing part of it all is that it was subtitled in English.

Just found out that they are 30, somnology 000 taxis working Kuwait! I can’t believe that they are that many roaming the streets of Kuwait, cost and that the government has just released option for 1000 more. What the hell is going on? Has public transportation and city planning turned to such crap that we have to have taxis roaming the streets. It is going to be one madhouse.

This year for Eid I am going to make a list. I always end up forgetting someone so making a list seems the best way to remember and even save it for next Eid. Yet I will have two lists one for people I will just SMS the other to actually call. We are really gotten impersonal with this SMS thing over the years it is a great way to keep contact with people, order
but sometimes it is nice to give em a call and say it with your voice.

This is one of the greatest ideas I’ve seen in a while in terms of guerilla style.

Guerilla Drive-Ins

Can be done in Kuwait using a car, pharmacy with a digital projector and one of those fancy car to regular power adaptor. I like their AM system instead of FM since most of you iTrip people know how much of a pain of an ass it is to setup your iPod. And locations I know a few quiet places.

Today at my grandparents house for lunch I had an episode on child rearing.

I was up stairs in the living room watching my cousins play video games and on the couch trying to get a quick nap when my Dad called me asking for his car keys. I really didn’t feel like going downstairs to give them to him but knew I had. So I saw my little cousin sitting down by the couch eating cake. So I went to him gave him the key and told him to give it to my father. He held it in his hand for a second then threw it on the floor saying “no” and went back to eating cake. I tried again this time with bribery tht there is more cake downstairs. And again he threw the key saying “no”.

I was in a quagmire. What to do? My father wanted his car keys to go home, link and I was fighting a brick wall with this kids stubbornness. If I go down with the key then he would have won, read and this would have reenforced this behavior.

So I grabbed the key and him as well. He fought me going down grabbing on doors and trying to fight, but he wasn’t being aggressive more annoyed. We got down and put him down in front of my Dad and gave him the key. My cousin looked defeated as he gave my father the key. I was happy knowing I didnt back down. Then ran back up stairs to the couch.
