This is from Google Video and I laugh because it is true.
Well moved to WordPress 2.0 had some issues with plugins, see more about but thats just me not reading directions and well I got clutter up on this blog. I really dont like their update process really a hassle if you have other directories and structures that aren’t part of the blog.
Thinking of getting a new theme and set it up again with some other plugins and features. The one I am using was supposedly temp until I fixed colors and other stuff. I will look at some templates and see what is available, really main thing is to clean up the plugins and do a real update.
Been so lazy lately, steroids just not in the mood to post, cheap find some good stuff and have some pics of things that I want to post, but just havent had the urge to just go and post it. Today forced me to get and do some online stuff due to the hack that happened. Also was due to laziness, didn’t upgrade wordpress to 1.5.2 or drupal to latest version. Didn’t even know Drupal had a major upgrade. Both those hacks were due to the xmlrpc call.
So need to do some fixes and updates and of course backups. I usually do just SQL backups, but Rami suggest doing full directory backups. I will start doing that, make some cron job and have it email it to my gmail account.
Had Wimpys in Nuzha earlier tonight, good stuff. Dont recall the old stuff tasted like, but this stuff was good.

Integrated a tagging plugin system to replace my category system that I been using. I really want to add more categories but it really is a pain with the plethora of topics that I discuss and feel that having a category for 1 or 2 enteries would be more work than needed and not serve it’s purpose well. So now you will see a new tagging structure in my posts. I still have some more work to do with it in terms of related tags, ophthalmologist and having a tag cloud in the bottom of the page and in my archives.

Finally got Connie running Wordpres. My main problem was that I was following this MacZealot’s WordPress Tutorial and it does a great job but I kept ending up with the same error:
“Error establishing a database connection”
I didnt notice that the tutorial was written almost a year ago, visit and the MySql they were using was the version that was available at the time. While I use the latest version. So after RTFM after RTFM and trying out different MySql queries I figured out I just need to upgrade PHP.
Seems that my MySql was the new version 4.1.10a-max, and my PHP was the standard with OSX 10.3 and knew how to communicate to MySql 4.0.20. So had to upgrade my PHP and I wasn’t about to try many random ones, like the one from the Apple site, but those wouldn’t do and glad I didn’t install it blindly like I usually do and read the README. I had to install Mark Liyange’s PHP Package for OSX 10.3 it was a quick and painless upgrade and my WordPress finally worked!
I put WordPress on my laptop so I can do some themes and hacks to my blog and other stuff with out screwing this main site. This is so when I move to 2by4.org I wont be carrying the bloat thats in my current install.
